Eligibility

You are eligible for benefits if you are an employee working 26 or more hours per week.

Eligible dependents

• Legally married spouse (including same-sex spouse)
• Domestic partner (including same and opposite sex if you have completed a Domestic Partner Affidavit)
• Natural, adopted, or stepchildren (including your domestic partner’s children) up to age 26
• Tax dependents over age 26 who are disabled and dependent on you for support
• Children named in a Qualified Medical Child Support Order (QMCSO) as defined by federal law

Family members such as parents, grandparents and siblings who are not your tax dependents as described above are not eligible for coverage. In addition, an employee of Rakuten International cannot be covered as both an employee and a dependent of another employee (for example, a spouse).
