The Well-being Reimbursement program reimburses 50% of your eligible expenses up to $350 per year. Reimbursements will be reviewed by HealthEquity and, if approved, paid to you as taxable payroll.

Child Care Reimbursement Program

The Child Care Reimbursement program will be available to you if you are assigned to a Rakuten office. People who are designated as remote workers are not eligible. The program will reimburse 50% up to $350 per year for daycare services that provide care for a dependent while you are at work. Reimbursements will be reviewed by HealthEquity and, if approved, paid to you as taxable payroll.

Eligible expenses under the Child Care Reimbursement Program:

  • Childcare provided by a babysitter or dependent care center that provides care for a dependent while the parent is at work.
  • The cost of a cook, housekeeper, maid, or cleaning person who provides care for a dependent while the parent is at work.
  • Day camp or summer camp fees, even for camps centered around a sport or activity, qualify if the camp was selected to provide care for a dependent while the parent is at work. Overnight camps do not qualify.
  • Costs related to before- and after-school care for a dependent while the parent is at work.
